LA Women’s Film Fest Update!

so here we are – day 4 in Los Angeles and loving every minute of it! Things have been hectic – in the best possible way – so I haven’t been online too much. (except to post pictures on twitter and Facebook). Saturday started at the beautiful Luxe Hotel on Rodeo Drive. Akua Boyenne, a Los Angeles based entertainment lawyer presented a workshop – Negotiating the Theatrical Agreement and Self Distribution – Exploring Alternative Distribution. At the beginning of the day, Akua stated her intention was to both educate and empower – she did all that and more. She was an inspiration – so well spoken, so eloquent and a true example of how knowledge is power! I learned a lot and look forward to sharing the knowledge with other independent filmmakers.
